Rush, rush, rush: I don't know about the rest of you, but all I do is run around like a maniac. It's the time of the season where there is a project or class due every other day! On the other hand, it is also time for holiday merriment. Halloween hasn't even occurred and yet I have already witnessed Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations. I don't even want to think about stuffing and elves just yet. Give me the ghouls and goblins first and then we'll talk turkey.

In reference to Halloween, there is plenty of fiendish activity in the 'Boro. Bluesboro is throwing a Halloween weekend bash with Burning Las Vegas, which starts Friday. The Boro and Wall Street also have Halloween shows this weekend. This is in addition to all the parties being thrown. Tuesday is the proverbial cherry on the sundae: I believe Halloween is the single largest day on the events calendar this semester. Almost every possible venue in Murfreesboro has some kind of holiday entertainment and costume contest. Dress up however you want, go to a show or a party and dig into that bucket o' candy. Just don't take it from the kiddies.

Costume-wise, if you still don't have one, try the All Things Possible Bargain Center on Northfield Boulevard. The large clothing selection is very, very reasonably priced and an entire costume can be created from their racks.

Last week, we ran a list of ten Halloween DVDs to rent. If renting isn't your bag, the folks at the KUC Theatre are offering a Hitchcock Horror Fest beginning Monday, Oct. 30 and ending on Thursday, Nov. 2. I've never seen all of the movies being shown, but I'm very interested in seeing "The Birds" on Nov. 2. The full story and all the movies offered is on page 4 of this week's Exposure. There is also an update on the MT Idol competition and our featured DVD of the week is "Thank You for Smoking," on pages 6 and 7, respectively.

The end of the semester is nearing, so if you have something you want to get off your chest about Exposure or if you want to write for us, drop me a line at slflash@mtsu.edu. Get your events in to us and we'll include them on the calendar.

I want to congratulate Juan Prophet Organization for being chosen to play in this year's Nashville Critic's Picks Festival. We'll have a story about the festival, JPO and the other bands in next week's issue. Stay safe this week, especially during the weekend and on All Hallow's Eve. And don't forget to say "Trick or treat!"
