Funeral arrangements for deceased student announced
Dyersburg Funeral Home in Dyersburg, Tenn. has announced funeral plans for Jacob Cole Nunley, a freshman member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon who passed away at Vanderbilt University Medical Center yesterday morning from possible meningitis.
Nunley will be buried at Fairview Cemetery on following a service at 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
He is survived by his mother, Shawna McIntosh of Dyersburg; his father, Chris Nunley of Clearwater, Fla..; a sister, Leslie Suzane Adams of Nashville; his grandmothers, Jeanette Blansett of Dyersburg and Dolly Stutts of Clearwater, Fla.; an aunt, Misty Jackson and husband, Shane, of Dyersburg; an uncle, Chris Wilson of Dyersburg; and three cousins, Ethan Jackson, Wesley Jackson and Will Wilson.
Pallbearers will be Chris Wilson, John Troy, Shane Jackson, Aaron Montgomery, Taylor Collins, Bryce Beasley and Steven Tarr.
Members of the MTSU Sigma Alpha Epsilon chapter will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Nunley was a resident of the SAE house on Greek Row.
Those who have had recent contact with Nunley are encouraged to go to Student Health Services in the Recreation Center for a free, 500-milligram dose of the Ciprofloxacin antibiotic pill.
