Sisco did not appear before the court. David Loughry, general sessions judge, found probable cause to continue the case and bound-it over to the grand jury in January. Sisco remains in Rutherford County Adult Detention Center with a bond set at $300,000.
Sisco, an 18-year-old Murfreesboro native, allegedly attacked Ashley Manis in Cummings Hall Room 420 on Sept. 24. LifeFlight transported Manis to Vanderbilt to treat multiple injuries, including a lacerated liver.
After treatment at Vanderbilt, Manis returned to her family in Cordova, Tenn. last month.
According to The Daily News Journal, Abbott said Sisco first told police Manis received her injuries from falling off his bed, hitting her head and having a seizure.
According to the detective's testimony, Sisco later said he and Manis were making out, both either partially or completely undressed, and Manis kept stopping, but they would start again.
James Abbott, a Murfreesboro City Police detective, told the court Sisco admitted to hitting and stabbing Manis with a broomstick and then to strangling her with a lamp cord.
Adam Wortman, an MTSU police officer at the scene, said the Cummings room was covered in blood - floor, walls and bed. When Wortman arrived, the blood had already begun to dry.

Wow, this boy is pretty sick. It is beyond me how anyone can be that violent. Let's hope they don't release this animal on the streets anytime soon!

Can't say I see the point of splashing the victim's photo across the page, but whatever. You gotta fill the page with something if you can't actually fill it with news. (Continued…)
