Letter to the Editor: Animals suffer too
John Van Hoff
Issue date: 4/17/08 Section: Opinions
Thank you to all who came and watched "Earthlings" on Monday at the Keathley University Center. No other documentary can express the suffering of animals at the hand of human beings.
As I write this piece, chill bumps embrace my body, and I cry-not in sadness, but in joy. I can only cry for so long, however.
The lack of education and ignorance that plagues our society can only numb one's soul. The pain and suffering of beings, non-human, are strong and industrious. They are like us, surviving and living out their fruitful lives.
Mankind has complete disrespect toward non-human beings. We have spit and stomped on the very beings that have brought cohesion to our puzzling planet.
In addition to a flier that was distributed Monday night, more information can be found at the Web site www.isawearthlings.com.

I was an MTSU student from 1982-1987. Student ID no 000-99-8397. In Feb 13, 2008, I participated in a movie production now posted on You Tube site. (Continued…)
