Female inmate found dead at Madison County jail

JACKSON, Tenn. (AP) _ The Madison County Sheriff's Department said an inmate was found dead at the J. Alexander Leech Criminal Justice Complex.
The Jackson Sun reports 48-year-old Diane Gray was being held in medical isolation when she was found unresponsive on Friday afternoon.
She was pronounced dead at the jail by the Madison County Medical Examiner's Office.
Gray's body was sent to Nashville for an autopsy and the sheriff's department is investigating.
Sheriff David Woolfork also asked local District Attorney General Jerry Wood to request assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
