The fall season has moved in but summer temperatures are still battling for control. Today's high is expected to be around 89 degrees.
Meteorologists say there will be calm winds throughout the day and northeast winds about five mph becoming southeast later tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
It was 85 degrees and mostly cloudy at the Nashville International Airport as of 11:53 a.m.
Forecasters say Wednesday will be mostly clear with a week-high of 91. South winds of five mph will be gusting through the area. Later tomorrow night, south-southwest winds will pick up speed for a low of 63 degrees.
As the week continues, isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected to move into the area on Thursday and Friday with a 20 percent chance of precipitation.
